Skincare Guide for Your Little One

Congratulations ! You’re a mother ! With a million and one things to now worry about, the nourishment and health of your babies skin shouldn’t be one of them. With the first year being completely trial and error, we often realize something doesn’t work well with our babies skin until the last minute. For those who may not know where to start here’s a short guide on how to care for your little ones skin.

Since babies can be exposed to direct sunlight as early as 6 months old its perfectly okay to apply a small amount of baby sensitive sunscreen with a minimum of SPF 30 to protect babies skin against the harsh sun.

Whether you’re indoors or outdoors dry or poor air circulation can be harmful to your baby's skin much like our own. I recommend placing a cool mist humidifier in your little ones nursery or main living area just to keep the air moist. (Be sure to clean the humidifier regularly or it will develop mold) Also don’t forget to give your baby lots of water to stay hydrated during the cold, dry months.

Small tip to remember, it's a good idea to dress your baby in different layers or pack them with you all year-round so you can easily change him into the proper clothing to shield from the sunlight, heat, or cold.
